While winter is the coldest season in Siesta Key, it’s nowhere near as frigid as most of the rest of the United States. For the months of December, January, and February, high temperatures stay in the low 70s and low temperatures stay in the 50s. You won’t need anything more than a light jacket, though it may be a bit too cold to take a swim.

Winter is also the dry season in Siesta Key, so there’s no need to pack an umbrella. The three winter months see around 2 inches of rain each, so there will be no afternoon showers to ruin your plans.

Spring

As everything starts blooming in the spring, temperatures start to rise but still remain comfortable. The spring months of March, April, and May see high temperatures in the 70s to the mid-80s, and low temperatures remain between 60 and 70 degrees. This is an ideal time to plan all your outdoor activities, and you’ll only need a light jacket in the evening.

Spring is still in the dry season, but the end of the season sees more rain. March and April tend to see about 2 inches of rain each, but towards the end of May, the average is closer to 3 or 4 inches. The rain is still not enough to cancel any of your plans, but it does provide a cool-down once the temperatures truly start to rise.
